Rebuilding of the Theodore Early Childhood Centre’s outdoor playground

In the recent floods the town of Theodore was devastated. What they have achieved in the last few weeks of cleaning up is phenomenal. Driving through the town today I was amazed at how far they had come from the images that covered the newspapers and TV only weeks before. I was in town to capture some images of the work that was being done the Early Childhood Centre’s yard. In the recent floods the brand new playground’s grass and sandpits were destroyed. The Moura-based Meridian Seamgas JV Partners Westside Corporation {http://westsidecorporation.com} and Mitsui Exploration and Production Australia {http://www.mitsui.com.au/MEPAUPage.htm} have pitched in to fund restoration.

Today was the first day, with 1000 square metres of turf arriving in town with a highly effecient team from Fitzroy Turf {http://www.fitzroyturf.com.au} – I was amazed at how quickly they were able to lay the turf. I will be revisiting the site once it is completed and look forward to sharing images of the site’s improvement!

And I couldn’t help but share this one, this gorgeous dog was taking a rest in the shade and watching over all the work being done from the playground …
